What started out as an expired licence plate sticker turned into so much more.

Hamilton Police pulled over a Jeep Patriot on Barton Street on Saturday. Officers spotted illicit drugs and paraphernalia in the vehicle while speaking with the driver.

They seized 20 grams of purple heroin, 20 grams of heroin, 22 grams of crystal meth, 7 grams of cocaine, 78 hydromorph pills, 16 grams of an unknown substance, a switchblade knife and Canadian cash.

A 36 year old Port Colborne man has now been charged with multiple offences.

His passenger, a 29 year old woman from Port Colborne, has also been charged.
