Charges have been laid after Niagara Regional Police were called out to a reported fraud in progress in downtown St. Catharines.

Officers arrested three men on Wednesday, but released two of them after further investigation.

They have charged a man from Montreal with fraud over $5,000, possession of a fraudulent credit card and two counts of uttering a forged document.
