Water levels are rising in Niagara as the rain continues. The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook for the Region. Niagara has seen up to 50 millimetres of rain over the past two days and we could see another 10 millimetres by the time it ends today.
Major waterways are still below critical thresholds and the NPCA does not expect significant flooding in Welland, Smithville and Wellandport. Resident living along the shoreline of Black Creek in Fort Erie and Four Mile Creek in Niagara-on-the-Lake are encouraged to watch for localized flooding. The conservation authority will continue to closely monitor the situation.
