Saint Catharines city council has voted to look into solutions for a growing rat problem in the city. Councilors stated they’re receiving multiple calls from residents, with some being told it’s their issue to deal with. The decision comes as Niagara Falls mulls over a rebate program for residents using exterminators in their city.
A pamphlet was sent out last fall to residents with advice on how to make their properties less attractive to rats. Saint Catharines city staff will report back to council with recommended solutions at the March 5th council meeting.
